Experimental Realization of Discrete Time Quasicrystals

Using nitrogen-vacancy spin centers in diamond, researchers demonstrate the first experimental discrete time quasicrystal — a non-equilibrium phase that breaks time-translation symmetry at multiple incommensurate frequencies simultaneously.
